What a fantastic weekend we had! The Women in Dentistry 14th Annual Symposium was on Friday, and then we had Dr. Joy Void-Holmes with us at rdhu for two days of hands-on workshops.

If you haven't attended a networking/learning event like Women in Dentistry or participated in any hands-on in-person continuing education since school, it truly is the best gift you can give yourself.

What happens when you attend such events?

- Networking! You will meet people and leave feeling charged! Also, with networking, you never know who you are going to meet or what doors may be opened for you for future opportunities.

- Learn a new skill! Most of the attendees on Saturday and Sunday said that this was their first hands-on program that they have attended since school. Enhancing your skills doesn't end when you leave school. There is so much more to learn outside of the fundamentals you are taught in school.

- Re-engagement! After attending a networking event and hands-on program, be prepared to be re-energized! We often feel like we are doing the same ole, same ole. These events are critical for growth and continuous professional development.

Check out the Women in Dentistry March/April Edition of their Journal. The RDH View is featured on the cover along with such a great article. Thank you to Palmeri Publishing and Women in Dentistry for a lovely feature.
