When you are busy with your professional life and giving 100% energy to your practice/work and your clients/patients, it can be trying to maintain that energy so that you have something left for your family and personal life!

The challenge is maintaining your health, relationships, and also your personal interests while working in a demanding profession! When any of these life domains suffer, it is easy to get thrown 'off track' from the life we want and deserve.

Maintaining a Work Life Balance isn't easy and it takes effort to accomplish.

To me a Work Life Balance involves being present in THAT moment at whatever you are doing in THAT moment. When you are at work, be at work and don't think about home...and the kids...dog...husband or wife...the grocery list...who's picking up little Johnny...what's for dinner, etc. Be AT work. The same applies to being 'at home'. Be present when at home 100% and not think about work. Carve out the time to work on work, on professional development.

It is not easy. It takes planning and focus. This was a goal of mine a few years back because I felt like the two worlds were blended. I didn't separate my work from family life for quite sometime until I became very aware of what I needed to put in place to be able to do so.

I feel I have a good work life balance now. Sure, portfolio season happens and it throws me off but overall, I am present in THAT moment and am there in whatever situation I am in.

Being aware of being present, being organized and planning are all important things that we can do to achieve the Work Life Balance.

I am excited to join in the discussion that we have planned with Dr. Effie Habsha who is a prosthodontist, runs a successful practice, manages Women in Dentistry and has a family! The discussion is happening THIS Friday, March 5th at 12pm EST on our show The RDH View. We have a special guest planned for Dr. Habsha and look forward to adding this guest to our discussion. Link is below to register. We will see you then!

Thank you for reading and have a great week ahead. Please take a look at below for what is coming up (courses, events, super cool specials and contests)!
