We have wrapped up the year, besides the last evening for Myofunctional Therapy, which is tonight, all of our programs have come to a conclusion for the summer months.

Last week I presented two presentations. One with Dental Corp on Maintaining Your Energy and one with Biolase on The 8 Simple Secrets to Growing Your Practice through Lasers.

Both of these presentations are things that I love to share. Strategies to really help Transform the Dental Hygiene Experience for you, the clinician, your client and your practice.

At the end of each presentation, I was greeted with so many nice messages on how much the dental hygienists loved and appreciated the presentation. Many shared how it inspired them and gave a little reminder on the 'why' we do what we do and gave them a little bit of excitement and encouragement for new things.

I share this with you because I so appreciate the validation. We all work so hard, and as human beings, we all need and appreciate validation. To know that we are doing good. That we are exceeding expectations and that what we do matters. As a presenter, we spend many many hours researching the topic, organizing the presentation and going through to prepare for the actual presentation.

The power to raise people up by praise and recognition, is within us.

I praise each of our presenters and our team members as much as possible. I know it is appreciated and it goes a long way. We need to support and encourage each other.

As a leader, we need to give validation to our team members and even to our patients and clients.

People need to know that they are doing good. And if perhaps you aren't receiving praise from an employer, this is something that you can do for a co-worker. Others will take note, and may catch on.

Recognize those team members who go above and beyond and acknowledge them with praise.
