To continue on with sharing the deficiencies that we found in this year's QA Records submissions....

This week, we will focus on the Practice Profile.

Whether you choose Path 1 (Learning Portfolio and Practice Profile) or Path 2 (QA Test and Practice Profile), you will need to ensure that you are current and meeting all CDHO Standards of Practice to answer the Practice Profile questions.

If you are taking the test...even though you are taking the test, you must be current on topics and it is expected of you to participate in Professional Development courses.

Courses that will help you answer the Practice Profile questions correctly:

~ Practice Profile Workshop

~ Process of Care

~ Documentation and Record Keeping

~ Infection Prevention and Control

~ Medical Emergencies

There are extra resources that are on the CDHO website will help you as well.

The tricky part of the Practice Profile is interpreting the questions. When the question indicates you or a another team member, the other team member could be a CDA or the dentist, etc. These questions are set up to ensure that your clients are receiving Comprehensive Care.

Most of the courses listed above are rdhu's core courses that we offer as live streaming courses; however, we are putting together QA Bundles for the summer and will have these ready for you by July 1st.

We are also offering the Mission Possible Project, where we will send you helpful screen share videos and short webinars to help encourage you to get your portfolio complete (as much as possible) by the end of the summer! We will have a couple of prizes to draw for those who enter the challenge.
