Wow! What a celebration for the National Dental Hygienists Week!
I don't think I have ever felt more proud of our profession as I did last week.
Social media was lighting up with posts of dental hygienists celebrating. There were landmarks across the country being lit up purple and dental hygienists driving distances to take pics of the huge billboards that were also displayed.
When you look back at the year we had, since the last NDHW, we should all feel so proud.
We went from being deemed non-essential and shut down for 3 months where the majority of our members dove into Continuing Education and we all stayed connected. To then going back to work and adapting to change. We have all pivoted and have adapted to our new normal. We have since been deemed as essential healthcare workers by the government and remain open to see clients. I don't think we will see a time like this (in our lifetime) again.
So, kudos to all of you!
We closed the celebration last week with our show The RDH View and the amazing dental hygienist and my very good friend, Jo-Anne Jones. We had approximately 600 viewers, which is such a great turn out, on Zoom and our live Facebook feed and have since had over 2000 dental hygienists watch.
Don't miss out on this opportunity and take part of this important message. This is also free and you can receive 1.25 CE hours.
Let's continue celebrating this month and take part in the Oral Health month challenge, where we are tracking our conversions from switching our clients from using a manual brush to power. #manualtopower #powertochange #changetheodds
We sent out an email last week with details; however, we have included the information below, along with the tracking sheet.
Thank you for reading and have a great week ahead. Please take a look below for what is coming up!
Kindest regards,
Kathleen
