The JDIQ Conference in Montreal is happening right now! If you are planning on being there today, be sure to go by the Curion Booth and say Hi to Beth and check out the LM Dental Instruments.
We presented two hands-on instrumentation workshops on Friday at JDIQ and it was so nice to meet many of our members in person. Thank you to all of you who joined us! Both Beth and I absolutely love presenting on all things instrumentation. As you may know, I have a passion for ensuring that dental hygienists always use optimal hand instruments and ultrasonic inserts. If you ever get a chance to take one of our in-person programs, I encourage you to do so. You will leave feeling excited to get back to practice and sharpen all of your instruments as well as getting your kits organized and adding a few additions!
On Saturday I left Montreal and went straight to Halifax where we celebrated my daughter's graduation yesterday. She completed a 5-year Co-op Chemical Engineering program. In a long line of guys coming down the convocation aisle, there was Gillian. This is a male dominating profession for sure. I remember during her gap year she was contemplating between Chemical Engineering and Dentistry. I would have loved for her to go into dental hygiene or dentistry but she chose her dad's route, and is now a Chemical Engineer! I couldn't be more proud of her. I am sitting here in a gorgeous beach house right on the coast as I type. I just love Nova Scotia and will miss my frequent trips here. But I will be back! I would love to have a conference out here one day. If you are from the East Coast and would attend an rdhu conference, please reply to this email and say "Yes, we would love a conference out here" and we shall see what transpires!
I am dedicated to my Tuesday emails no matter where I am. I always like to take the time to reflect and connect! There was a time where these emails would take me days to write, review and redo! I would overthink all things. I have come to enjoy writing, and like anything we do consistently, it becomes easier. I have also come to accept that it doesn't have to be perfect.
Creating content and value is more important than putting out less content that you feel needs to be perfect.
Do you share content and provide value to your patients? This is a great opportunity for you to stay connected with your patients when they are not in your chair. You can connect with them via email or create short videos on helping them maintain their oral health. You can also educate them on all the treatment and services you provide.
Creating content and providing value, even if it's not perfect, is essential because it fosters connection, authenticity, and continuous improvement!
This is a great opportunity for you to engage with your patients, build trust, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to their needs.
The patient/client experience doesn't have to end when they leave your practice. By staying connected with them, it will enhance the treatment you are currently providing.
Thank you for your support and for reading!
Have a great week!
